After dating a lot of girls over the past 5 years I have found that the majority of the relationships were ended by the girl. This seems to be a common trend that I want to get rid of. What is the secret to maintaining a lasting relationship? What should I be doing differently to make the girls want to stay?

Without knowing a lot about what you may be doing right or wrong, I can provide some small suggestions. Some keys to maintaining a lasting relationship lie in both consistency and communication. For example, with consistency, continue doing the small stuff - if you were really good about calling when you said you would at the beginning of a relationship, are you still doing that? Regarding communication, when you feel things are starting to get a bit uncomfortable in the relationship, do you bring it up or just hope it goes away? It sounds like you are generally shocked when these ladies break things off with you. I would suggest looking harder for signals early on in the relationship and try to do something about it then. Set time aside to see if you are both on the same page in terms of where the relationship is going. Be sure it is in a comfortable setting so that if she wants to bring something to your attention, she will feel okay doing so and not feel like she is going to be interrupted. Remember to really listen and if they are reasonable, make the changes. You will likely have things you may want to bring up with her as well. Learn from what these women you date are telling you. A failed relationship is not a true failure if you learn something valuable from it that can make future relationships better.

Aries - Don't forget that if you come across to others as preoccupied, your would-be bunny love might not automatically know that thoughts of them are dominating your brain! Things could take a turn in the right direction on the 7th, thanks to your can-do attitude. Your astute psychological analysis of a romantic situation could save the day on the 11th, provided you don't get too bossy about it. On the 16th and 17th, you and your love bunny's path to becoming a twosome looks smooth -- but don't forget, chocolate never hurts! On the 23rd, 24th and 25th, you and that bunny love could be hopping along together, or you could be hopping mad, depending on how each of you plays your cards. On the 31st, step (or hop) back and consider the romantic situation.
Taurus - On the 3rd and 4th, you turn your attention (which was absorbed by your work on the 1st and 2nd) to L-O-V-E. Or, at least, to L-I-K-E. On the 18th, 19th and 20th, you can work some romantic magic if you put your mind to it. Work through a problem on the 25th, and on the 30th, save a little energy for L-O-V-E. Gemini - What's been on your mind lately? Or, to be more specific, who's been on your mind lately? Is it the hottie from the hardware store? The cutie from accounting? The superfly babe from surf camp? Somebody else? On the 1st and 2nd, it looks like you finally let them know. On the 4th and 5th, they should let you know right back. And if they don't respond by then, they may not be worth your time. On the 11th, you could see things turn around in an unexpected way. (Has the pharmacist with the twinkle in their eye handed you their number with your aspirin tablets? Wow!) The 16th, 17th and 18th look dreamy -- who needs those old aspirin tablets, anyway? You want to be careful, but not too careful, about what you communicate on the 23rd, 24th and 25th. On the 30th, you feel more romantically connected than you have in a long while.
Cancer - So, when it comes to love, what do you want? Stability? Thrills? Chills? Excitement? Comfort? Reliability? All of the above? None of the above? Well, think it over, because on the 3rd, 4th or 5th, love could very well come into your life, and you want to be able to recognize it, right? Of course you do. Then, on the 6th and 7th, you can sit back and let love move in. That's right -- leave the doors and windows to your heart unlocked, and when you get back from grocery shopping (say, on the 9th), love will be there, mixing up some fresh lemonade in your kitchen. And look, love has even done your laundry! Love is great. On the 14th and 15th, don't be too nitpicky when it comes to love. Instead, you could do something nice for love (like make sandwiches and take love on a picnic on the 19th and 20th), you know! You'll both like it. Be kind on the 25th. On the 30th, tell love how much you like it -- and say thanks for the clean laundry.
Leo - On the 3rd and 4th, you're getting philosophical -- about work, about play, about life and, of course, about romance. So what's your take on all of it, anyway? Try to pinpoint your ideas as best as you can -- it never hurts to have a deeper understanding of your own conceptions and preconceptions before you embark on something. And you may very well embark on something come the romantically charged 6th and 7th. On the 12th and 13th, your direct approach saves time in getting this new romance off the ground. Refine your philosophies a bit on the 17th, because somebody cute may ask you all about your thoughts. On the 21st and 22nd, you shine. Nothing like a little (or a lot of) love, is there? By the 27th, you might even want to take it public. Then, on the 31st, they may be ready for the next step, too.
Virgo - If you've spotted a potential love interest, keep them in your sights on the 1st and 2nd -- you don't want to let them get away. They could be special. They could be really special. And you want to find out. By the 5th, try to take things a step further -- you can't just watch this person from afar forever, you know. By the 6th at the latest, say something. On the 14th and 15th, why not take a little time over tea to reflect on what's been happening (or not happening) between you two. On the 30th, keep your sights on this good thing.
Libra - On the 1st and 2nd, you may be asking yourself, 'Am I ever going to find the one?' If that question is on your mind, why not put the word out? Tell your friends, your more discreet family members, and heck, maybe the old lady downstairs. Communicate to them that if they happen to know of somebody really fantastic who's looking, you'd be interested. Try it out -- you never know what could happen, and it doesn't cost anything. By the 7th, don't be shocked if you've actually met a few nice people. Then, on the 14th, don't be flabbergasted if you actually like one of them. By the 19th, you could have a date. In fact, this could be a turning point. Get dressed up and have fun. On the 23rd, 24th and 25th, if problems come up, don't forget that romance comes from the Latin root for 'kind of difficult.' Okay, not really -- but you get the point. On the 31st, look back on the month. What have you learned?
Scorpio - You might have your eye on somebody on the 1st. Why not bring that other eye over, and then, by the 2nd, you'll be looking at this person straight on, with both of your eyes. Chances are, they'll melt. So it's a good idea for you to be keeping your eyes open -- that way you can catch the object of your affection (with both arms) if they fall. By the 4th, golly if you don't have a date. Some eyes you have there! The 9th is a 'make it or break it' day. Do you want to make it? Or would you rather break it? Think hard. The answer is clear to you by the 14th or 15th, when you might need to take a little break from romance. On the 20th, you're still taking stock. But by the 25th, you're back in the game -- and how! You're 'on,' and whomever you're interested in is way into you on the 28th, 29th and 30th.
Sagittarius - So, has your heart been a little bruised in a recent encounter? Was somebody not quite gentle enough with your big, warm, cuddly, blood-pumping organ? Well, pooh-pooh on them. They weren't very clever to let you go! And when a whirlwind affair comes at you on the 3rd, 4th and 5th, you forget all about them. Sure, be careful with your heart (it's a really special one!), but take a chance. By the 7th, you should see some new developments. On the 10th and 11th, make a real effort if you like them, and on the 16th and 17th, take a break to do a little emotional processing. Invite them on some kind of date for the 19th, and by the 24th or 25th, you two could be at a real turning point. On the 29th, watch out -- there's an itsy-bitsy problem in the works.
Capricorn - On the 4th and 5th, go to any and all moonlit summer parties you're invited to. Why? Because there's probably somebody you need to meet at one of them, that's why! You two might catch each other's eyes over pineapple-flavored summer cocktails in plastic cups, or during a session of night swimming. But one thing's clear -- you won't meet at a summer party if you stay home. So go out! By the 10th or 11th, you should have their number in hand -- and you should have used it! Aquarius - What's been happening in your romantic life lately? Are you reaching a point where you genuinely like yourself and feel ready to like somebody else? Or are you still not sure if you can reach out and connect with another human being on that level right now? Assess your feelings on the 1st and 2nd. Then stay open to whatever comes your direction, especially on the 6th and 7th. An encounter could leave you feeling terrific on the 8th, 9th and 10th. (Heck, those internal assessments about where you're and how you're not ready for love yet are never foolproof.) On the 13th, you make something happen, and on the 18th, 19th and 20th, you could have some pretty exciting evenings. Especially if you eat outdoors! On the 25th, you're busy as a bee, and on the 30th, you might want to reassess where you are; it could be very different than what you thought at the beginning of the month!
Pisces - On the 1st and 2nd, ask yourself what you want -- really -- from that chubby little guy with the wings and the arrows. By the 7th, you could discover a few feelings you didn't know you had. (Are you a little bit afraid of love, maybe? Interesting.) By the 10th or 11th, though, you're sparkling, and just a little bit irresistible. Maybe a special somebody is going to help you work on your fears? Hmm? If they want to, let them on the 14th and 15th. Then let them help you a little more on the 18th, 19th and 20th. Are you getting a hang of this falling-in-love thing? You always were a quick study. But don't be afraid to ask for more tutoring -- especially on the 24th and 25th, when you might feel a little unprepared. You two might stay up all night, prepping for the love exam, on the 29th or 30th. Here's a bet you'll pass -- with flying colors!
