If a date went well, when should I call her back so I don't sound desperate?

This is often a disputed topic, but I'll give you my opinion. Let's say you went on a date on a Thursday night and it went really well, an ideal time to call her again would be Friday evening or Saturday morning - anytime shortly after 24hours is ideal. This way the call can be to thank her again for the date and to express how you enjoyed the date. As the conversation progresses, you can talk about a further date you would like to go on. There seems to be this silly rule floating around that you need to wait for 3 days before you call. I don't know where it came from but it really doesn't make any sense - if you are into someone, you want to call them - so feel free to do so. She'll be glad to hear from you.
