Your desire to ask out your hairstylists is perfectly normal. The relationship created between stylist and client is intimate on a lot of levels so the desire to further that intimacy is natural. A stylist's job is to create an environment where their client feels comfortable. Often this leads to the client sharing details about their personal lives much like they would in a therapist's office. As a society we are often so touch-deprived that having your hair washed and styled by someone else is very therapeutic. In terms of starting a relationship based on this connection, it depends entirely on the situation, their relationship status and flirtatious signals. You really don't know unless you ask.
